Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of having my loved one's headstone cleaned?

There are both personal and practical benefits of having your family member's headstone cleaned.  Clients have often expressed feelings of deepened connections with their family that have passed and have found comfort knowing they are able to provide continued care for them with a headstone cleaning.  Practically speaking, headstone cleaning aids in preserving the stone by neutralizing and removing mold, mildew, algae, dirt, and pollutants from it.  Cleaning can also renew the readability of a stone once covered in biological growth, which is important for genealogical and/or historical research purposes.

Does perpetual care take care of my family member's headstone and plot?

Yes and no.  Perpetual care typically covers general maintenance of cemetery and graveyard grounds, such as grass mowing, over-all landscaping, trash removal, road, fence, and sign repairs, etc.

Perpetual care usually does not involve the caring for individual headstones and burial plots.  Commonly, it is the responsibility of the family to personally care for the gravesite or to hire professionals to clean, repair, and replace headstones and grave markers, look after personal mementos and decorations, placing or replanting flowers, or to restore worn-out inscriptions.

How many times per year do I need to have a headstone cleaned?

Headstones usually only need one cleaning every one to two years.

Can you do headstone/monument repairs and restoration?

We do not offer headstone/monument repairs or restoration services at this time.

Will you clean large monuments, such as a mausoleum or sarcophagus?

Generally speaking, yes, we will clean them.  Please give us a call at 910-420-5859 so we can better understand your needs.
